Ya. This is very good. I agree that we need to recover a more human speed for change. And for me it also re-enforces the idea that capitalism (especially our neo-liberal capitalism) needs to be viewed as a means for achieving certain ends. One of our socio-political tasks is determining what ends via what means. In Crossing the Postmodern Divide (1993) Albert Borgmann talks about a division of society into the hyper-active and, in my interpretation, the despondent. There is much to think and talk about here.
